Key Pelationships

Supervises:

Chinese Title Event Organized Play Programs.

Other Key Relationships:

All OP teams to provide feedback and localization of OP issues in China.
External Contacts include Chinese Retailers, players and judges to explain, implement and promote Wotc's Organized Play offerings.

Job Duties

Essential Functions/Major:

Oversee the implementation of Organized Play strategic policy into China.
Inform players, judges, tournament organizers and league operators of strategic Wotc and OP decisions.
Explain rules, procedures and logistics to prospective tournament organizers and league operators.
Implement and manage the Judge Certification program in China.
Responsible for managing all DCI policy dissemination in China.
Schedule making and reporting of all Title Events and Organized Play programs.
Develop local and national events.
Manage leagues.

Secondary Functions:

Coordinate event coverage for all Chinese events.
Establish and/or monitor electronic mailing lists.
Assist in providing player or retailer customer service.
Locate and visit core stores in China.
Coordinate with OP-related shipping and logistics for China.

Qualifications

Education and Training

Bachelor's degree, in computer science or business, preferred.
Knowledge of International business is an asset.
Any computer related training is an asset.
Show (including theater) productiona and planning is an asset.

Prior Related Experience

Involvement in Wizards of the Clast Organized Play preferred.
Experience as a DCI-certified judge preferred.
3+ years of management experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills.

English not required, but preferred.
Strong computer skills required.
Very strong verbal and written skills required.
Strong understanding of Organized Play program is required.
Ability to work unsupervised on several projects simultaneously.
Understand the core hobby games market.
Willing to travel.
